MESCO has an Executive Committee, which consists of ten to twelve members, mostly professionals from different fields (teaching, medical, architecture, engineering accounts and finance) entrepreneurs and businessmen. All of them honorary members, who do not charge any sitting fees/receive any remuneration. The Executive (incl. a Sub Committee/understudy members) Committee sets the policy guidelines and receives reports about the field level implementation of programmes and progress reports of institutions from a fairly well qualified and competitive staff. The Staff carries out the field level implementation of all the programmes of the Organization under a properly structured hierarchical structure. The Office is headed by the CEO who reports to the Executive Committee at meetings and routinely to the General Secretary / President.

Almost 78% of the total expenses go to the end beneficiary; 10-11% goes towards other admin. Expenses (mentioned above) and 14-15% towards salary costs

Education is the major thrust area and takes up almost 69%, medical schemes take up 21% while Relief of Poverty (Gen. Aid) takes up the remaining almost 10%.

MESCO is a non-denominational secular Organization. It supports all individuals in need after verification of genuineness of the need. All applications are sanctioned only after receiving application in writing in a given format, followed by a report filed by a field staff member after a home visit and followed by a personal interview, with the Committee. It is true though that a little over 50% of funds come from zakat and which are to be, and are, exclusively used on Muslim beneficiaries; the remaining 50% received through donations are used on other applications as well as for admin expenses

Absolutely! As a matter of fact the payment vouchers are differently coloured and marked for easy recognition and accounting. Only zakat eligible expenses (beneficiary costs) are debited to zakat funds.

1.Publicize the work MESCO is doing. 2.Donate your Old Newspapers or any other Saleable Articles to MESCO. 3.Sponsor a child under the EAS (sponsorship of Rs. 7,500/- annually) or under the Professional Educational Scheme (sponsorship of Rs. 50,000/- for 7 years). 4. You could sponsor a Nursery School. 5. Become a Patron Member / Life Member.
