During 2011-12 we have assisted 2256 school & college students, provided Medical Services to 425 patients under various schemes and another 67729 patients through our three Mobile Clinics and two Fixed Dispensaries; and provided Poverty Relief to 2729 beneficiaries

Sewing Machine Distribution: In order to make widows & destitute self reliant, MESCO has been encouraging by providing Sewing Machines to them who are confident of making a living with stitching clothes. The applicant has to undergo a trade test to demonstrate that she can earn a living if provided a sewing machine.
During last year 58 ‘Singer’ branded sewing machines were distributed to widows, deserted, divorced and destitute for gainful self- employment.

Ration Support: Dry ration is provided to the much marginalized families, especially where there is no male support or the members are old without adequate financial support. The ration is distributed from 12 identified centres in Mumbai. These items are selected based on recommendations of the panel of qualified dieticians and distributed according to the family size.
Old Clothes Distribution:
MESCO has been distributing used clothes received from wellwishers and donors free of charge to the multitude of needy people for the last 18 years. During last year 33945 old usable clothes were distributed to 1631 families in various slum areas.
Old Clothes Distribution was held on 26th July, 2011.
